UPDATE: The man found dead in the parking lot of a Blackwell motel has been identified as Deepkunker Vhakta. Vhakta was the property manager of the Best Way Inn.
The investigation by Blackwell police, Kay County Sheriff, the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and other agencies started after Vhakta’s body was found around 6:30 Monday evening in the parking lot of the Best Way Inn Motel at 4302 West Doolin, just off I-35. Reports indicate the man may have died from trauma to the head.
