HELENA, Okla. – If you felt a bit of a shake early Friday morning, that was due to an earthquake that struck parts of Northern Oklahoma.
According to the U.S. Geological Survey Team, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake occurred just before 6 a.m. Friday with an epicenter near the small community of Helena in Alfalfa County. The earthquake was 1.6 Kilometers deep and could be felt in areas around Helena.
Helena is 30 minutes northwest of Enid and south of the Great Salt Plains.
