PONCA CITY – Ponca City Public School teachers from all across the district came together to help East Middle School be ready for school to start on time. The building suffered severe water damage on August 2, 2019 as a result of a significant rain storm. Garfield and Lincoln teachers are shown in the picture helping out.
Superintendent Shelley Arrott reported, “The theme this year for the district is the Wildcat Way. One of the characteristics of the Wildcat Way is Teamwork, and our teachers have come together to support their East Teammates in their time of need. Because of them volunteering their time and the efforts of Rick Scott Construction and Coryell Roofing bringing in two restoration companies and working day and night, students at East Middle School will be in their classrooms the first day of school.”
