BRAMAN – Four Texas residents were involved in a motorcycle collision that occurred at approximately 9:16 a.m. Monday morning on the I-35 southbound exit ramp at exit 231(US-177) 1.3 miles northwest of Braman.
According to a report from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the three vehicles involved were traveling southbound when a 2019 Harley Davidson driven by James Edward Stallings, 60, of Corsicana, Tx. slowed down and attempted to exit. Stallings was struck in the rear of the motorcycle by a 2016 Harley Davidson Motorcycle driven by Lance Edward Northern, 42, of Corsicana, Tx. The two motorcycles separated before Stallings was struck for a second time by another 016 Harley Davidson driven by Jorge Alberto Sevilla, 38, of Cedar Hill, Tx. Stallings vehicle then impacted a road sign.
Stallings and his passenger, Norma Gonzalez Stallings, 58, of Corsicana, Tx.,were both sent by AirEvac from the scene to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Ks. where the two were admitted in critical condition. Northern and Sevilla were both transported by ambulance to Blackwell Regional Hospital where they were admitted in stable condition with arm, leg and trunk internal injuries.
I-35 was closed at approximately 10:10 a.m. and reopened over 2 hours later at 12:24 p.m.
