PONCA CITY – The Oklahoma employee-owned company Homeland (HAC, Inc.) recently announced that they have entered an agreement to buy five supermarkets in Northern Oklahoma.

Stillwater News Press reports that four of the stores are Food Pyramid locations in Ponca City, Stillwater and Bartlesville. The fifth store is Ponca City Discount Foods. Homeland will allow all existing employees to apply for positions at their stores. The store will be operated by HAC, Inc. beginning in early November, and will operate the stores under their existing banners until early 2020 when the Food Pyramid stores will be re-branded as Homeland. Homeland has been in northern Oklahoma before when a location was open in Blackwell until the late 2000s.

All stores will add more Made in Oklahoma and signature Homeland items over the next few months. Facilities are planned to be upgraded.
