ARKANSAS CITY, Kan. – Arkansas City Police and Fire/EMS responded to a two-vehicle accident that occurred at around 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the intersection of Madison Avenue and the U.S. 77/U.S. 166 bypass on the east side of Ark City.
The intersection was closed for a brief time as crews worked the accident. Following the accident, a large passenger van remained in the roadway, and a minivan came to a rest in a ditch off the southeast side of the highway.
Five individuals were involved in the accident. None were needing sent to the hospital as no injuries were reported.
The intersection was later reopened at 8 p.m. Tuesday.
