Blackwells Independence Day Parade will be Wednesday, July 4th at 10AM. After the Parade, join the Trinity Lutheran Church for their Old Fashioned Community picnic and Games. The church is located at 125 Vinnedge.
The annual Fourth of July fireworks display over beautiful Lake Ponca will be July 4, at 9:50pm (dusk). This is a free fireworks show.
Please remember that private fireworks are not allowed on or around Lake Ponca Recreational Area, any roadways, or water areas around Lake Ponca. The City of Ponca City wishes you an enjoyable and safe Fourth Of July Holiday.
Sherry Bowers of the Ponca City Police Department wants to remind us about our pets during the Fourth of July celebration. According to Animal Control Supervisor Steve Minor, Dogs are afraid of fireworks. Please take precautions to secure your pets on the fourth, even if you aren’t in an area where fireworks are normally set off. Scared pets run from loud noises, Minor added.
