The Newkirk Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the town’s “Citizen of the Year”, an award given annually to a person who has been generous in their devotion of time and energy to the community. If you know someone who deserves the honor, look for ballot boxes at Equity Bank in Newkirk, the Chamber office at 114 South Main and the Main Street Bakery. Deadline for nominations is December 31.
