STILLWATER – The Stillwater Police Department were called to a convenience store parking lot at 6th and Perkins in Stillwater following a shooting that happened in the 3100 block of Raintree. Upon arrival officers found 23 year old Tonkawa resident Jared Lance Roybal in a van with a gunshot wound in his neck. Roybal had been driven from the scene of the shooting to the store by his brother who asked the clerk to call 9-1-1 for medical assistance. Roybal was transported from the scene by LifeNet ambulance in critical condition. Roybal was initially taken to Stillwater Medical Center before being transferred to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Roybal died as a result of his wounds.
