STILLWATER – Two accidents were reported in Payne County Wednesday evening. Information regarding the accidents are posted below.
Accident 1
A personal injury collision occurred at 5:55 p.m. Wednesday evening on I-35 southbound 1 mile south of the Stillwater exit in Payne County. 28-year-old Anthony Worthen of Columbus, Georgia, and his passenger 24-year-old Ervonte Smith of Pine Mountain, Georgia, were traveling southbound in a 2018 Freightliner when the vehicle departed the roadway to the right, rolled 1/4 times and came to a rest on the passenger side. Worthen was not injured, and Smith was sent to Stillwater Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition with leg and arm injuries.
Accident 2
Later Wednesday evening, a second accident was reported in Payne county at 9:51 p.m. 0.25 miles north of Stillwater. 28-year-old Brittney Monk of Stillwater was driving north on Country Club Road when 22-year-old Sidney Powers jumped in front of the vehicle. Monk was not injured, and Powers was sent to Stillwater Medical Center where she was admitted in stable condition with hand and head injuries.
