LAMONT, Okla.- In case you felt the ground shake in Northern Oklahoma, that could be from an earthquake reported Tuesday afternoon.
Around 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, the US Geological Survey Team recorded a 3.4 magnitude earthquake with its epicenter near the town of Lamont in southeastern Grant County.
This is not the only above 3.0 magnitude earthquake to strike Northern Oklahoma. On August 2, a 3.6 magnitude earthquake was reported near Helena in southern Alfalfa County.
