BLACKWELL – The Blackwell Fire Department has confirmed that they are searching for a man missing between Blackwell and Braman.
The man reportedly left Blackwell Tuesday morning at 6 AM and has not been heard from since. According to the Blackwell Journal Tribune, an anonymous source said the man was driving a blue 2015/2016 Ford truck with an extended cab. The truck has an Oklahoma license plate. Flooded waters from the Chikaskia River and other streams covered the roadway between Blackwell and Braman Tuesday making many areas impassable. As of Wednesday morning, there have been no new reports about the missing man.
Search efforts were suspended Tuesday evening due to high water.
Crews from the Tecumseh Fire Department in Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma completed eight separate rescues from flood waters in Blackwell and Tonkawa on Tuesday.
